The Flying Pig Uptown backpackers hostel is located right next to the famous Vondelpark and just an 8-minute walk from the bustling Leidseplein area. The hostel features a 24-hour reception desk and a bar strictly for guests only. You can enjoy a drink or hot snacks in the hostel’s bar, which also has a smoking room. Because of this, the hostel is strictly only for those 18 years or older. There is a breakfast buffet available each morning and a wide variety of cafes, restaurants and bars nearby.

The Flying Pig Uptown is a converted town house on the beautiful street of Vossiustraat. There are 24 rooms spread over 6 floors. Due to the structure of the building, there is no elevator. Most of the dormitory rooms come with bunk beds and shared shower and toilet facilities in the common areas. Some rooms have en suite bathroom facilities.

Museumplein is a 5-minute walk from The Flying Pig Uptown. From the nearby tram and bus stops there are direct links between the Canal Belt, Rembrandtplein, Dam Square, Amsterdam Central Station and Amsterdam Schipol Airport.

Located 10 minutes by metro from the city center, Via Amsterdam is a design-led hybrid hostel and hotel with street art and urban design featured throughout the building.The property situated in the Bijlmermeer district, offers free WiFi and  a 24-hour front desk.

Featuring a private bathroom, rooms at Via Amsterdam also boast a city view. Guest have acces to a spacious shared kitchen.

A continental breakfast is available every morning at the accommodation. At Via Amsterdam you will find a restaurant serving International cuisine. Vegetarian, dairy-free and gluten-free options can also be requested.

Bike rental, a cinema room and relaxing areas are available at Via Amsterdam.

Dam Square is 6.5 km from Via Amsterdam while Museum Square is 6 km away. The closest airport, Schiphol Airport is 12 km  from the accommodation. The Johan Cruijff Arena is located at 2 km from Via Amsterdam.

The best way to get to Princess Hotel Leidse Square from Amsterdam Central Station is to take the tram 1 and get off at Eerste Constantijn Huygensstraat. From the airport you can catch bus 397 which has a direct connection to Leidse Square (€6.50 per ticket).

This design hostel Stayokay Hostel Amsterdam Oost  is 3 km away from the city centre. It shares its building with a cinema and theater and is situated in a former school in the Zeeburg district. You have easy access to Dam Square which is 3.6 km away. Free WiFi is available throughout the whole building.

Stayokay Hostel Amsterdam Oost offers spacious rooms and dormitories with a private bathroom. Some rooms and dormitories are wheelchair accessible. Please note that you can rent a towel at a small charge.

Stayokay Hostel Amsterdam Oost has a bar-brasserie, a buffet restaurant (subject to availability) and a summer terrace. In December 2018 the restaurant The 5th opened, serving quick bites and drinks. Guests can enjoy breakfast at the accommodation against a surcharge and also packed lunch service is available at a surcharge.
